To give you more context: our charming rapist of a minister of Interior (the equivalent of secretary of State in the US) is trying to push a law that would, among other lovely things, prevent journalists from filming the police during protests and whatnot. It’s called “Sécurité globale” and the point of this law is to avoid having those policemen’s faces on the internet, so they don’t get harassed.
Sweet, right? This law would give the police the right to decide when they don’t want to be filmed, which means they get to legally remove and destroy evidence whenever they see fit. Evidence of what, you may ask?
